It’s Official! G.O.O.D Music Signs On Entire Mo’Hits Crew!
Don Jazzy with Jay Z and Kanye West
As reported yesterday Thursday, June 9, 2011, US rapper Kanye West has signed unto his G.O.O.D Music management and production house Mo’Hits fore runner Dapo Oyebanji better known as D’banj. The news was broken by Dbanj through his twitter account.
Some raised their noses to the news claiming it might have just been a theatric approach by self-styled entertainer to probably release another single in anticipation of his fourth album. But others debunked the insinuations and stood firmly rooted with the Mo’Hits camp claiming that the move was indeed true.
And we can now confirm that the move is indeed true. But the news gets even bigger as our reporters have confirmed that G.O.O.D music has signed the entire Mo’Hits camp unto the label. The signing took place in the US on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 which happens to be Kanye’s birthday. Hit producer Don Jazzy and D’banj attended Mr West’s gig and even got the Chicago born rapper an expensive wristwatch.
Just a few hours ago, Don Jazzy put a picture of Jay Z, Kanye and himself on twitter and gave a vote of thanks to his wellwishers.
A remix of D’banj’s ‘Scapegoat‘ has already been recorded with Kanye west taking a verse on it.
D’banj hit the music scene back in 2004 and partnered with producer Don Jazzy to bring out the smash single ‘Tongolo‘. The following year he released his debut work ‘No Long Thing‘ under the Mo’Hits imprint. He went to release ‘Rundown Funk U Up‘ in 2006 and ‘The Entertainer‘ in 2008. His popularity in the international scene grew when he won the award for ‘Artist of the Year’ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008.
Mo’Hits crew consist of Don Jazzy, D’banj, Dr. Sid, Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, D’Prince and K-Switch.
